Masumi Sato (4th Dan)
Masumi started karate when she was 7 years old . She trained in her community karate dojo Oku Juku Toride with sensei Kamistuma and Kata from sensei Yoshinari.
Masumi practiced karate weekly with former world champion Yuka Shimizu.
She came to the UK and trained with Wado Academy, Hanshi Shiomitsu and competed in the Wado-Ryu Karate championship in Reading, UK 2005 and finished 7th in ladies Kata. Masumi wishes to grow karate lovers and hoping to many people to understand the karate culture of respect, discipline and self determination and not just for fitness. Her dojo welcomes everyone from any background, parents are very welcome to join with children to take the class together.
Masumi is a calm and focused teacher, she is adept at teaching karate to both children and adults, with clear and full instructions. She explains each move clearly and concisely and supports students whenever they need it.
She encourages students to push themselves and is confident in their abilities. She likes to set realistic challenges for the class.
Students attending this class show progression within 2 weeks of attending and we have several dedicated attendees.

Steph is our vital tech and admin support for our karate dojo. She has great positive energy to all and she welcomes everyone warmly (she is super friendly!!).
Steph is here for during the training to make sure sessions run smoothly.
All our staffs have enhanced DBS checked and trained with safeguarding.
